Since its establishment on October 1, 1995, the Lancaster Palmdale (CA) Alumni Chapter has been a vital part of the Antelope Valley community, rooted in a legacy of leadership, service, and excellence. As a dynamic presence in California’s high desert region, the chapter continues to uphold the noble ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and community uplift through service and outreach.

Our Founding Legacy: The Lancaster Palmdale (CA) Alumni Chapter was founded through the dedication and collective vision of seven distinguished charter members. These men laid the groundwork for an organization committed to positive social impact and the uplift of African American communities in Lancaster, Palmdale, and surrounding areas.

Our Mission: The Lancaster Palmdale (CA) Alumni Chapter exists to: Provide lifelong membership and leadership opportunities for alumni in the region. Foster a commitment to excellence in education and scholarship. Serve the community through impactful programming, outreach, and advocacy.Promote unity, integrity, and cultural pride among members and the broader community.

🏛️ Chapter History & Leadership Legacy:

Since its founding, LPAC has been home to many dynamic leaders who have served as Polemarchs and held key roles in the Western Province. Notably:

Dr. William Shaw, the first Polemarch of LPAC, served from 1996–1999 and left an enduring legacy of educational and civic leadership in the Antelope Valley.

Ulysses Chatman Jr., a charter member and multi-term Polemarch, worked extensively to uplift youth and foster academic excellence.

More recently, Kevin Willis has served as Polemarch and contributed to the wider fraternity as MTA Chairman of the Western Province.

Vauneld Adams represented the chapter as the Junior Vice Polemarch of the Western Province, reinforcing LPAC's influence across the region.


Chapter Impact & Community Engagement: For nearly three decades, the chapter has been a beacon of positive change—hosting programs that support youth development, economic empowerment, health awareness, and educational advancement.

Signature initiatives and events include:

Scholarship Programs: Annual scholarships awarded to deserving high school seniors pursuing higher education.

Mentorship & Youth Leadership: Partnerships with local schools and youth organizations to provide guidance, support, and inspiration.

Health & Wellness Outreach: Community forums, blood drives, and awareness campaigns that address health disparities.

Civic Engagement & Voter Education: Encouraging political awareness and action through voter registration drives and public forums.

Brotherhood & Legacy: At its core, the Lancaster Palmdale (CA) Alumni Chapter is more than just an organization—it's a brotherhood rooted in mutual respect, shared purpose, and a passion for service. As the chapter continues to grow, its members remain dedicated to upholding the vision of the charter members and ensuring that their legacy thrives for generations to come.
